I joined the Rio Vista Fire Department in 1978 as a Junior Firefighter.
I worked my way up through the ranks as volunteer Firefighter/EMT, Engineer
and became a Captain/ Training Officer in 1999.

In 1998 I was hired by Montezuma Fire Protection District and worked my
way up through the ranks and am now at the rank of Asst. Chief.
I am the Training Officer and Operations Chief for the department along with
many other jobs.

I have been the President of the Solano Training Officer Association going on
my 3rd year. I have an Associates Degree in Fire Science and State
Certification as a Fire Officer, Fire Investigator 1 and Instructor 1.

I also teach S190, S130, S131, Hazmat awareness, Flood and River Water
Rescue, ICS 100-300 and can teach Driver /Operator 1A and 1B.
I am a member of the Solano Incident Management Support Team.
Now working on my Strike Team Leader Position.
